Basic Answering Service

We are your Virtual Receptionist. We are available as needed in day times, nights and weekends. We can have live service or blend both live and automated service depending on time of day. We develop a custom protocol for you and how you operate your business.

We provide a live answer - telephone answering service, using the answer phrase you create for your business. You would forward your phones to us using Call Forwarding features from your local phone utilities. We will assign a toll free number for you to forward to. This will save you the local per call charge from your local phone company. When the phones are forwarded we will live answer the calls in your name with your customized answer phrase. Call handling will be based upon your protocol.

Answering Innovations creates with you a custom protocol with you for how you operate your business. Information will be relayed to the caller as appropriate, and on call staff will be notified, if protocol dictates.

We create a message ticket for each call received. We collect any amount of information on each message ticket you would like us to gather. Caller ID and ANI information, if receive, is part of each message ticket. All calls are recorded.

Based upon the nature of the call, Answering Innovations can deliver messages over multiple communication channels, (fax, email, SMS Message or alpha numeric pager) in real-time or on a scheduled basis. Answering Innovations supports an array of wireless products to keep on-call personnel in close, continuous contact. From alpha-numeric pagers, to cellular phones to PDA’s, we are your point of connection.

Urgent / Emergency messages (based on your protocol) will be called out, paged out, or sent via SMS messaging.

All message tickets including delivered urgent messages are delivered real-time or on a scheduled basis to eMail, Fax or made available for pickup from a secure website.

We cue your lines in the early evening and/or at regular intervals to verify that call forwarding has been properly set. We also offer Wake-Up service so that important early morning meeting, appointment or flight is not missed.

Our Service Representatives assist the caller by providing specific directions or the best route for the caller to reach the right location. We can also make confirmation calls, send confirmation letters or e-mails, and provide registration packet fulfillment.

Why Time Billing?

Is time billing right for you? Clients looking for call center services have always faced a myriad of differing rate plans. Which is best for you? How can you tell what the bottom line will be? Are there holiday fees, paging charges, night fees, charges archiving your messages, charges for voice logging (recording calls to your account) and so on?

Our philosophy is to keep things as simple as possible. This is the primary reason we offer time billing, you pay for what you use. What could be more fair? If your business is slow one month, you don't have to worry about paying for calls or messages you didn't receive. Our plans offer a moderate discount based on expected volume, however even our smallest plans are competitive to the large rate plans of others. You no longer need to monitor your rate plan each month to make sure that you are not on too small or too large a plan. We also bill every four weeks. You don’t have to worry for your plan minutes if this month has 4 or 5 weekends.

Q. How can I gauge what my bill will be with time billing ?
A. It's pretty simple really - how much work are we doing for you? If you have a simple messaging account - name, phone number, what the message is regarding - you can calculate each call will last 30 - 45 seconds on average. To figure your monthly costs, multiply the number of calls by 30 - 45 seconds.
Q. How do I know your operators won't pad the time by keeping my callers on hold or dragging the conversation out?
A. That is why you hire a professional. First, you are billed only when an operator is working on your account. Second, our operators are professionals, we are a busy call center and our operators are trained from day one to move quickly, efficiently and courteously through calls. Third, all your calls are voice logged and are available for your review at no charge.
Q. What if someone calls and says "Sorry, I dialed the wrong number" ? Does that mean I will be billed for a minutes worth of time ?
A. No, a call must last for a minimum of six seconds to even start the clock running. Even if it takes the caller longer than six seconds to figure out they have reached the wrong number, you are only billed for the time used. Calls are billed in one tenth of a minute (six second) increments, we never round up to the minute.
